Description
pear preserves and caramel studded with white raisin and candied citrus peels make for an aromatic display of head-turning intensity and a creamy
weight and concentration than in any of the prior Corton grands crus as well as notably better depth and persistence of the balanced and built to age finish

very long and balanced finale as the only nit is a hint of warmth
Sylvain Pataille, Marsannay Ancestrale Vintage:2022 pear preserves and caramel studded(from a mix of vines that range from 60 to 80+ years of age; 90% whole cluster). A distinctly floral nose is cool and pure with notes of violet, plum and plenty of spice. There is fine intensity to the rich, focused and stony middleweight flavors that brim with dry extract thanks to the old vines, all wrapped in a precise, balanced and beautifully lingering if moderately austere finish. This should age effortlessly and is well worth considering.
